You can almost set your watch, or more precisely your calendar, to the date on which the Christmas enquiries start to come in. It’s about a week after the late August bank holiday. People come back to work and immediately start thinking about getting away from it again!
The most organised companies will have organised their Christmas bash much earlier, of course. However here are a few tips:
You want a discount, of course you do. However, be realistic. If you’d booked earlier then you might have been able to get one, but now you’re in the mad scramble looking for a Christmas event and it’s not so easy. But you’re making a large booking … you have 30 guests. Okay, everyone else has 40 so what you think is large isn’t necessarily large.
If you’re lucky enough to find space at a good restaurant at this late stage don’t mess them around. Often people lose that opportunity and have to settle for something less popular. Popular means that the food and service is good. Don’t take risks.
The one time of the year when discounts are hardest to get is Christmas, unless you booked in the first half of the year. Book early, has that point been made?
There are still opportunities. We know some secret places where you can still book groups in, so visit our website to make an enquiry. We’ll do our best to help you organise the perfect Christmas Murder Mystery.
